Enigmatic Lineas de Nazca

The Nazca civilization is an ancient pre-Inca culture known for its large geoglyphs. These strange and magnificent figures were discovered in 1927, in the desert plains of southern Peru. The Nazca Lines are one of the greatest mysteries in the world. We will fly over the Nazca Lines and we will be able to observe their immense size, from 15 to 300 meters. They were made in 700 BC. And consist of drawings of animals, plants, objects, human beings, gods, etc. The Nazca Lines are formed with grooves in the land that are approximately 30 centimeters deep. There are different theses about its origin.

We will visit the Cantalloc aqueducts, built by the Nazca civilization during the pre-Columbian period of Peruvian history. The aqueducts continue to function fulfilling their original purpose. Local farmers still depend on this canal system to bring water to this arid region.
