PACHACAMAC + BARRANCO TOUR
PACHACAMAC + BARRANCO TOUR
Visit the Temple of the Great God Pachacamac
Pachacamac was a pre-Hispanic ceremonial complex on the Peruvian coast. It is located near the city of Lima, in the valley of the Lurin river, in the middle of a landscape that combines the green of the vegetation with the beginning of the desert.
We will start our tour in the heroic district of Chorrillos, where we will visit the natural reserve of the “de Villa” swamps. Then we will go south to visit the ceremonial complex of Pachacamac, which was the most important on the Peruvian coast in the pre-Hispanic times, and where the most revered oracle in the Andean world was located. We will be able to appreciate the Old Temple of Pachacamac, Acllahuasi, the Temple of the Sun, the Painted Temple, among others. Then we will enter the site museum, which houses an interesting collection of archaeological remains: ceramics, textiles and the image of gods such as Pachacamac. The whole place was considered sacred and one of the places that constitute the axis of the world. At the end of our tour, we will visit the bohemian district of Barranco, where the famous Bridge of Sighs is located. On the way, we will enjoy the impressive view of the Pacific Ocean.
